At approx 9:50 on Tuesday, March 28, Seekonk (MA) firefighters were dispatched to 81 Hull St for a reported structure fire.

First-arriving units found heavy smoke and fire showing from a three-story wood frame building. Additional apparatus from East Providence (RI) was called to the scene as first-due units initiated an interior attack.

The fire rapidly extended to the third floor and attic and companies were evacuated from the building. One occupant was able to escape the fire using the rear fire escape. All others were out prior to fire department arrival. After the heavy fire was knocked down, a secondary search was conducted and six canines were removed via ground ladders and treated by EMS.
