At least nine structures were damaged or destroyed in a fire in Oxnard Friday afternoon, reports KTLA 5.
By the time crews arrived on scene several structures were already burning, Fire Chief James Williams told the Ventura County Star.
The situation was further complicated by thick smoke and strong winds, Williams said.
The fire came amid red flag warnings, Santa Ana winds and high fire danger warnings issued across Southern California.
The structures involved were a combination of mobile homes, an apartment house and several industrial buildings.
No injuries were reported, but an estimated 75 people were displaced by the fire.
