Six people were injured last evening in an ambulance accident that involved a tractor trailer in Elkridge, Maryland.
According to WUSA (http://on.wusa9.com/1vFEj9e), the accident occurred approximately 7 p.m. on Monday. The ambulance was reportedly responding to an emergency call for mutual aid in Baltimore County and had its emergency equipment on at the time of the crash.
The report said the tractor trailer was stopped due to a crash it was involved in with another vehicle. It said the ambulance hit the back of a Hyundai Sonata, then hit the side of the trailer part of the tractor trailer.
The Howard County Fire Department ambulance drive had to be extricated from the vehicle and was sent to a medical facility in critical condition (he is now in stable condition, according to the report).
