South Carolina First Responder Accused of Using Emergency Lights to Deliver Pizzas

A South Carolina responder was arrested after he allegedly used his emergency lights while delivering pizzas.

Thomas Leon Reid III, a new member of the Rock Hill (SC) Rescue Squad, after a man claimed to see Reid speeding down an area roadway with his lights on, causing other vehicles to get out of the way. The report says authorities learned Reid was working at a local Pizza Hut.

Rock Hill Rescue Squad Capt. Joe Shackelford said Reid is a probationary member on the squad, having joined about two months ago. Shckelford said he learned about the incident Wednesday and had not had a chance to speak with Reid, but indicated that, as a probationary member, Reid should not have lights on his car.
