Family Escapes Raging New York House Fire

A mother and her seven children escaped a raging house fire on Sunday morning, March 6, in the tiny village of South Floral Park, which is located on Long Island, New York.

Firefighters were called to the Louis Avenue address around 8:40am and found the two story home engulfed in flames.

Units from South Floral Park, Floral Park, and Elmont were on the scene to extinguish the fire.

Several minor injuries were reported and the Red Cross was on the scene to assist the affected family. Nassau County Fire Marshals were summoned to the scene to investigate the cause.
