Texas Firefighters’ Act of Kindness Gets Attention

Baytown (TX) firefighters are getting some national attention for their act of kindness to a patient felled by a heart attack.

KHOU reports (http://bit.ly/Wd7guw) that members of the fire department‘s Station 4 responded last week when John McCormick, 65, suffered a heart attack while mowing the lawn of his home.

Firefighters and EMTs worked on McCormick at the scene and transported him, but then, according to the report, headed back to the citizen’s home to finish the job of mowing his lawn.

Unfortunately, John McCormick died two days later.
