Texas Man Arrested for Impersonating Firefighter

A man who was arrested a few months ago after police said he pretended to be a Dallas (TX) firefighter was arrested again over the weekend for impersonating a Denton firefighter, reports MyFoxDFW.com.

Denton Fire Department spokesman John Argumaniz said Terrance King called 911 on Sunday from Lake Carolyn in Irving. He was transported to Las Colinas Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Once he was there, he apparently told the hospital staff he was a Denton firefighter. He even had some clothing that belonged to the department.

But staffers grew suspicious and contacted Irving police, who followed up with the Denton Fire Department. It turns out the firefighter clothing was reported stolen.

According to Argumaniz, other firefighters remembered King showing up at a Denton fire station one day asking for a ride-along. They turned him down.

King was arrested for impersonating a public servant and for outstanding traffic warrants.
