TheFireStore and HERO Energy Shot Donate $100,000

TheFireStore honors fallen firefighters in the pits, on the track and across the airwaves during television coverage of the NASCAR Nationwide series race from Dover International Speedway.

Saturday afternoon as the NASCAR Nationwide race began the #40 car sponsored by TheFireStore rolled onto the track with the names of 81 fallen firefighters listed on the back trunk lid. TheFireStore and HERO Energy Shot have joined forces to raise $100,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation over the next year.

Together TheFireStore, HERO Energy Shot and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation brought attention to the 81 firefighters who answered their last call. A sheered brake caliper bolt sent the #40 to the garage for a mid-race repair, the crew responded quickly and had TJ Bell and his Chevy Camaro back on track and on the way to a strong finish despite being several laps down at the checkered flag.

As the sun set over Dover and the teams’ truck rolled out for the drive back to North Carolina thoughts turned to the upcoming 32nd Annual Memorial Weekend – where the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation expects more than 5,000 people to attend this national remembrance.

“We are honored to help draw attention to the Memorial Weekend set to take place on October 5 and 6 in Emmitsburg, MD. The attention we were able to give to those fallen heroes over the race weekend served as a small way to remember their sacrifices and educate race fans of the ultimate price paid by these heroes.” said Peter Kosciewicz, Chief Marketing Officer of Witmer Public Safety Group, Inc., the parent company of TheFireStore.

Beginning October 1st visit TheFireStore.com and use promo code NFFF to get 15% off HERO Energy Shots, in addition HERO Energy will donate 10 cents per bottle sold by TheFireStore.com to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The goal is to sell 1,000,000 bottles and raise $100,000 over the next 12 months.

Jim Witmer, Chairman of Witmer Public Safety Group said “TheFireStore is proud to be associated with TJ Bell and The Motorsports Group as we dipped our toe into the world of NASCAR. We learned how many customers are race fans and we are evaluating where we go from here.”
