More than 3,500 vehicles were damaged or destroyed in a Friday night fire near a Florida airport, according to reports.

The Fort Myers News-Press reported on the fire. The cars were in a grassy area used as an overflow lot by car rental companies that service Southwest Florida International Airport, and none were occupied.
