The Dallas Fire Department has extinguished a three-alarm blaze at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, reports KTRK-TV Houston.
Nearly 100 fire fighters responded shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday and contained the flames, which were located in the south stairwell on the third floor.
In a statement, the fire department said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Hotel management listed 387 people staying at the hotel.
Everyone was safely evacuated, though several people were treated for what the statement termed “non-life-threatening issues.”
One person had to be taken to the hospital for further evaluation of an unspecified burn injury.
Though the fire is out, the hotel remains without power and won’t reopen for the evening.
