Three people were reportedly killed in an apartment fire in Aberdeen, Maryland, according to reports.
According to the Harford County (MD) Volunteer Fire & EMS X account, the fire occurred in the unit block of Roosevelt Avenue. CBS News said the Highland Commons apartment complex is located in the area.
According to a social media post from the Aberdeen Fire Department, firefighters from various area companies responded to the fire at around 5:30 a.m. and found nothing evident on scene. Upon further investigation, crews found smoke conditions and sprinkler activation on a second-floor apartment. Crews located three people, all who were pronounced dead on scene. The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal and Aberdeen Police are remaining on scene for investigative purposes.
Subsequently, the Aberdeen Police announced that the incident was being investigated as a triple homicide.
