One firefighter was airlifted to a hospital in Boston after suffering “significant burns” at a fire in Claremont, New Hampshire, that also hurt two other firefighters.
The fire reportedly started in a chicken coop Sunday night and spread to a home, according to WMUR. A Mayday was called during the incident.
Claremont Fire Captain Bryan Burr told the Associated Press that the burned firefighter was airlifted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. A second firefighter was being treated at Fletcher Allen Health Care Hospital in Burlington, Vermont, and a third was treated and released.
The Valley News reported that the occupants of the home escaped unharmed.
