Three Killed in House Fire in Chicago Suburb

Three people were killed in an overnight fire in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Police had been in the area of the house and smelled smoke but by the time firefighters arrived, the fire had spread through the single-family home, according to a Chicago Tribune report (http://trib.in/187o1qp).

A portion of the rear on the second floor collapsed when firefighters arrived on scene. The fire didn’t spread to neighboring buildings and no firefighters were hurt.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
