Three Ohio Firefighters Injured in Factory Fire

Three firefighters were injured in an explosion while battling a fire at a Monroe (OH) factory, reports WLWT NBC 5 Cincinnati (http://bit.ly/JoPSKX). They suffered minor and moderate injuries.

A fire had started in a 5,000 gallon tank that holds material used in wood composite material. As firefighters were working to put out the fire, there was an explosion.

Middletown Journal (http://bit.ly/KbEG3C) reports that two of the firefighters have been released from medical care. The third has been admitted to a burn unit.

The fire was extinguished in nearly three hours with six other fire departments responding.
