Three TX Firefighters Suspended for Hazing Incident

The Garland Fire Department (TX) has suspended three firefighters for a rookie hazing that went too far, reports KDFW Fox 4 Dallas-Forth Worth (http://bit.ly/Mqj44m).

An incident in February has led to a three day suspension for the three firefighters and the captain has received five days, Chief Raymond Knight explained to the tv news station.

A water fight while washing dishes turned into a rookie firefighter being chased down by the three veteran firefighters. The tv news station details that they taped him to a backboard and held him underneath a water outlet and sprayed him with water.

The chief said that taping the rookie to the backboard could have impacted response time had a call been received.
