According to a report from NewsOn6, a three-year-old girl was killed in a mobile home fire Sunday morning in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
Collinsville Rural Fire Protection (CRFP) Chief Jimmy Wilson said crews received the call early Sunday morning for a report of a child trapped inside a burning mobile home at Horsepen Creek Park, one mile north of Collinsville. Wilson said the mobile home was fully engulfed on arrival, with the windows already broken out, which is a bad sign for mobile home fires.
Three others made it out of the home to safety, but the child did not. One woman was hospitalized with burns.
The cause is under investigation, and the identity of the child has not been released.
Wilson says if a home does not have a smoke alarm, CRFP will install one for free.
