By D.J. Corcoran

Shortly after midnight, motorist passing Second Generation Tattoo and Savway Tobacco in Knoxville, Tennessee, called 911 to report the building which housed the two businesses was burning.

Arriving firefighters found the heaviest flames shooting from a door on the “B” side of the building, which was occupied by the tattoo shop.

Firefighting crews worked several hours to extinguish fire that had reached into the attic.

The local highway was blocked until 2:30 a.m. with water lines stretched to hydrants on the opposite side of the road.

Arson investigators are on the scene and will continue their investigation to determine the cause; no injuries were reported.
