Toledo Firefighter Falls Through Floor at House Fire

A Toledo firefighter fell through a floor into a basement during a house fire today, reports The Toledo Blade (http://bit.ly/1mMbsyY)

Pvt. Barrett Dorner apparently did not suffer injuries from the fall reported at 6:12 a.m. He safely left the basement at 6:18 a.m., and was later evaluated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department.

Firefighters initially responded at 6:04 a.m. to 3425 Stickney Ave. in North Toledo. The basement was not on fire at the time, said Toledo Fire Lt. Robert Wiciak.

The fire remains under investigation.
