Train Cars on Fire Roll Through Ontario City’s Downtown

Video showed train cars on fire rolling through downtown London, Ontario, on Sunday night.

CBC News reported that no one was injured in the fiery incident on April 21, 2024. Wooden railway ties inside five train cars reportedly burned as the train was moving, eventually came to a stop near a residential area. Cars carrying dangerous goods and hazardous materials were split and moved away from the cars on fire, the report said.

Firefighters extinguished the fire after an hour and a half, and the incident is under investigation.
