An audiocasette program, “The Next of Kin.—Your Most Valuable Resource,” explains how to compassionately and effectively communicate with an accident victim’s survivors, solicit information from them, and help them to diffuse the anger they might feel.

The program, written by a clinical hypnotherapist and member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, uses real-life situations to take the listener step by step through notifying and dealing with the next of kin. It addresses the stages and the language of suffering.

Although the Dive Rescue Inc. program is targeted for the dive team member, it’s also suitable for any first responder or emergency medical services member who may deal with family members after an accidental death.

The tapes retail for $24.95 plus $2.50 postage. For more information, contact Dive Rescue Inc., 2619 Canton Ct., Ft. Collins, CO 80525.
