Transmission maker ALLISON TRANSMISSION of Indianapolis, Indiana, announced plans to invest $100

Transmission maker ALLISON TRANSMISSION of Indianapolis, Indiana, announced plans to invest $100 million toward increasing its overall production. The company will be able to produce 35 percent more World transmissions by mid-2000. The expansion will create approximately 125 United Auto Workers jobs.

Allison appointed James L. Wanaselja North American sales director. He will be responsible for sales in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico; field sales organization; and national and OEM accounts. Jim Coleman has been appointed director of global market development and will work with regional directors worldwide and be responsible for marketing, order administration, sales engineering, and global business development.
