Two Alarm Fire Reported at Universal Studios Hollywood

Los Angeles County firefighters (CA) responded to a two-alarm fire reported at Universal Studios Hollywood, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The call initially reported smoke coming from a three-story building. Some media reported that the building houses the Terminator 2 ride, which is being removed to make way for a new attraction.

News helicopter footage later appeared to show that the fire had been extinguished. There were no immediate reports of injuries and the structure did not appear to suffer heavy damage.

It is not immediately known what may have sparked the fire.

County firefighters issued a second alarm to get additional resources to the park to make sure the fire didn’t spread to nearby buildings.
