ANN ARBOR, MI – Two cars were destroyed by a fire in an Ann Arbor parking structure early Monday morning.

Fire crews were called at 6:08 a.m. Dec. 30 to West Medical Center Drive outside the University of Michigan Medical Center for a report of a fire on the sixth floor of the P1 parking structure, according to the Ann Arbor Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at the structure and found a car on the top floor on fire, officials said.

Using a tower truck and four additional trucks, crews were able extinguish the flames, preventing further damage. The vehicle and an adjacent car were destroyed in the fire, officials said.

There were no injures reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security assisted at the scene.
