Two CT Firefighters Injured After Falling Through Collapsed Floor at House Fire



According to a report from WTNH, two Manchester (CT) Fire Department (MFD) firefighters suffered minor injuries when the second floor of the home in which they were working collapsed early Wednesday morning.

The fire ignited just after 1 a.m. on the 100 block of Campfield Road. At least five MFD units responded to the 911 call. On arrival, crews discovered fire coming from the second story of the home.

MFD’s battalion chief said the second story of the home collapsed. Two firefighters fell through the floor and received minor injuries.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire, and its cause of the fire is under investigation.
