Two Dead in CA House Fire

According to a report from KTLA, the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACFD) discovered a man and woman as well as their pet cat dead after a house fire in Mar Vista, California, early Wednesday morning.

The LACFD responded to a call for fire in the 3500 block in May Street at 2:22 a.m. Crews of around 20 LACFD firefighters extinguished the flames in the one-story structure in less than 30 minutes.

After the fire was knocked down, the LACFD found two people, one male and one female, had died, along with their pet cat. LACFD officials have not determined the victims’ ages and names.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
