Two Dead in Las Vegas (NV) Tunnel Fire

According to a report from KSNV, a fire that erupted in one of the tunnels near the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, killed two people and two cats. The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) is now investigating the cause of the incident.

The CCFD was dispatched at approximately 3:24 p.m. to a call behind 8200 Dean Martin Dr. after receiving reports of smoke coming from under the roadway. On arrival, crews encountered a tunnel fire with possible victims trapped inside. Because of the tunnel’s restrictive area, firefighters had difficulty getting to the seat of the fire.

The CCFD eventually extinguished the fire. One male and one female were found dead along with multiple cats.

No other injuries reported.
