Two Dead in OK Medical Helicopter Crash

Two people were killed and another critically injured when a medical helicopter crashed this morning in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The helicopter was en route to picking up a patient when it crashed, according to a report from The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/12XFIKX). The victims were the flight crew from Eagle Med, which is based in Wichita, Kansas.

Someone who was at the crash scene and heard the explosion was injured helping rescue one of the crew members, but these injuries were not deemed serious.

It was the second fatal crash involving an EagleMed helicopter in Oklahoma. The previous one occurred in July 2010, and killed the pilot and a flight nurse; another nurse was seriously injured.
