Two Dead in Pittsford (NY) House Fire

Two people were confirmed dead following a house fire on Collingham Road.

Firefighters responded to the fire around 9 p.m. Sunday and had reports of individuals trapped inside the home. The fire occurred in a cul-de-sac across from East Rochester High School, near the Wegman’s Plaza on Pittsford-Palmyra Road, WHEC reports.

Firefighters turned up the two victims during their initial search of the structure.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Pittsford Fire Department was assisted by fire departments from East Rochester, Brighton, and Bushnell’s Basin, as well as EMS and Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
