Two Die in Greeneville (TN) House Fire

Two people found dead after a house fire Friday on Kelley Gap Road were sisters, according to a report filed Saturday at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, reports greenevillesun.com (http://bit.ly/1Rq1dO9)

Diane McGhee, 67, and Linda Inscore, 63, both of the 360 Kelley Gap Road home engulfed in flames Friday, are believed to be the two people found dead in a bedroom inside the home, Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Jones wrote in the report.

Final identification is still pending.

The fire was reported to 911 Dispatch at about 3:50 p.m Friday.

A neighbor, Gladdis Morgan, reportedly told Jones that McGhee came out of her house and told her to call 911 because her house was on fire. McGhee then went back into the house.

Inscore may have been wheelchair-bound or bedridden, Greene County Sheriff Pat Hankins said Saturday.

Responding emergency crews were initially unable to make their way inside the home due to the intensity of the fire.

A fire investigator was at the home Friday night, but Hankins said Saturday no cause has been determined yet.
