Two Firefighters Hospitalized for Heat Exhaustion Battling Revere (MA) House Fire

According to a report from WBZ4, two Revere (MA) Fire Department (RFD) members were hospitalized for heat exhaustion following a house fire in Revere Wednesday afternoon during a time of high heat index.

Flames and dense smoke poured from the roof of the three-story home on Kingman Avenue. RFD members also rescued a dog that was trapped inside the house.

RFD Chief Chris Bright said the fire was caught between the ceiling and attic areas, which was tough to access. As a result, crews began pulling ceilings and cutting holes in the roof.

All five residents escaped to safety, and the incident is under investigation.
