Two Firefighters Hurt in Waltham (MA) Fire

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while operating at a four-alarm fire that forced evacuations early Wednesday in Waltham, Massachusetts.

WCVB reported (http://bit.ly/T6YaOz) that firefighters found a vacant home fully engulfed when they arrived around 3:15 a.m. The fire was so intense that firefighters had to evacuate nearby homes. The building was reportedly under construction, and the fire spread to an occupied neighboring structure.

EVACUATION FUNDAMENTALS

A fire official told reporters that crews had issues with power lines on scene, with some live lines coming down. Several vehicles including a police car, were damaged.
