Two Injured in WI Explosion, Fire

Two people were injured in a Wisconsin house fire near the Michigan border.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an explosion was reported in Wagner at 7:29 p.m. on Nov. 23.

Wagner is located across the Menominee River less than 10 miles from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Two males were injured, deputies said. They were transported from the scene for medical treatment.

The condition of the men was not released. The incident remains under investigation.

Several local fire departments responded to the scene including the Grover-Porterfield Fire Department, Mellen Township Fire Department, Menominee-Ingallston Fire Department, Middle Inlet Fire Department, Lake Fire Department, Peshtigo Fire Department and Wausaukee Fire Department.
