The department’s reasons for suspending the two were not immediately known.

Kenney and Franklin came to the crash scene after a rig being driven by a firefighter collided with a motorcyclist at 11:33 p.m. The fire truck’s red lights and siren were on, but a report said the firefighter ran a red light without ensuring the intersection would be clear.
