Two Women Killed in Fineview PA House Fire

Two women were found dead after a three-alarm fire at a house in Pittsburgh’s Fineview neighborhood Wednesday morning, reports Pittsburgh 4.

The fire on Belleau Street was reported about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday and appeared to spread from one home to two others on either side of that residence.

A friend identified the victims as Cathy Arkus and Judy Rassias. One woman was found sitting in a chair, and the other was in a bathroom. Both were on the third floor of the home.

Neighbors said the women lived together with two dogs and a cat. Friend Marcia Kraus said Rassias asked Arkus to move in after she lost her home following her mother’s death and Rassias’ husband fell ill.
