TX Boat and RV Warehouse a Total Loss After Massive Fire

According to a report from ABC13, firefighters from multiple departments extinguished a massive fire in a north Houston, Texas, warehouse that stored recreational vehicles (RVs) and boats Wednesday morning that was apparently started by candles.

The fire erupted at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday at A-Safe-T Storage at 11539 N. Houston Rosslyn at Breen Drive.

Video from above the scene showed the warehouse as a total loss.

Fire officials said the fire began when a man left candles he had lit after he awoke and left the room.

Firefighters were seen using water from a nearby watershed to extinguish the flames. Four tankers and seven engines were also called to the scene, each holding around 1,000 gallons of water.

Northwest Volunteer Fire Department District Chief Roland Silva said there were no injuries.

In addition to some personal items, six boats, 10 RVs, and some construction equipment were destroyed in the fire.

Commuters traveling on North Houston Rosslyn were being told to use Antoine Drive as an alternate route.
