TX Firefighter Injured After Falling Through Roof at Bus Company Fire



According to a report from ABC13, a firefighter with the Houston (TX) Fire Department (HFD) suffered injuries after falling through a roof while fighting a fire at a private bus company in the southeast part of the city Thursday night.

The HFD received the call for the fire at about 11 p.m. at the offices of the business in the 8400 block of Hansen Road near Redford. On arrival, HFD firefighters attacked the fire from the roof.

HFD Deputy Chief Issac Garcia said that the firefighter fell through the roof of the building after losing his footing, and a Mayday was called immediately.

Within minutes, the firefighter was found able to walk under his own power before being transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
