TX Firefighter Suffers Dehydration at Apartment Fire

A Houston (TX) firefighter was hospitalized for dehydration Monday during firefighting operations at an apartment complex.

The unidentified firefighter was overcome at a three-alarm fire that broke out about 8 p.m. on the city’s northwest side, according to The Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/WDHQVi). The injured firefighter is expected to recover.

There were no other reported injuries and the fire was brought under control about an hour later. Fire officials said the building’s common attic contributed to fire spread.
