USFA Notifies of Firefighter Fatality

USA Firefighter Fatality Notification

 

The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality:

Rank: Fire Marshal 

Age: 51

Gender: Male

Status: Volunteer

Years of Service: 30+

Date of Incident: 11/20/2014

Time of Incident: 1230hrs

Date of Death: 11/20/2014

Fire Department: Upper Macungie Township Station 56, Inc.

Address: 6510 Schantz Road, Allenton, PA 18104
Fire Department Chief: Leroy Gross

 

Incident Description: Several hours after responding to a medical call, Fire Marshal Ashmar was found in cardiac arrest at his residence. Ashmar was treated and transported by fellow responders to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he succumbed to his injury.
