USFA: Pennsylvania On-Duty Death

To date, 34 firefighter fatalities have been reported to USFA in 2018.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of First Captain Michael Godzak, 60, of the Rostraver Township Volunteer Fire Department on April 29, 2018.

While operating a fire engine as it returned to the station from a fire call, First Captain Michael Godzak died from a nature and cause of fatal injury still to be reported.

Fatality status is provisional and may change as USFA contacts State Fire Marshals to verify fatality incident information.
