Vice President Cheney To Keynote National Fire And Emergency Services Dinner


Washington, D.C. – Vice President Dick Cheney will deliver the keynote address at the 16th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner on May 5, at the Washington Hilton and Towers, in Washington, DC. More than 2,000 fire and emergency services leaders will attend the program hosted by the Congressional Fire Services Institute.

The theme of the program is “Preparing for the Alarm.” The dinner will also feature speeches by the leadership of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus and award presentations to both individuals and organizations for their contributions to our nation’s fire and emergency services.

The Fire Caucus is one of the largest caucuses in Congress with more than 325 members, founded by Congressman Curt Weldon, a former fire chief from Markus Hook, PA. Senator John McCain is the current Chairman of the Fire Caucus.
