Investigators, holding their first major update since the Waldo Canyon fire swept through Colorado Springs in June, burning 347 homes and killing two people, said that they have concluded the fire started was human caused, reports The Denver Post.
Colorado Springs Police Lt. Adrian Vasquez said the task force investigating the fire now is looking for someone to come forward with more information about how, exactly, the fire started.
Vasquez said investigators believe there is someone out there who started the fire, or who has confessed to another person.
“Only they can come forward,” Vasquez said. “The task force has completed many tasks as part of investigation, but there is still a long ways to go. Because investigation is ongoing, there are many specific facts we are not going to talk about.”
