VFIS, the world’s largest provider of insurance coverage to the emergency services community, has recently appointed Walters and Hanna Insurance Agency of Akron as a new agency covering the entire State of Ohio.
Walters and Hanna has been providing insurance services for nearly 40 years in Northeast Ohio. They specialize in business insurance and represent a number of diverse companies including Westfield, Western Reserve, Grange, Brotherhood Mutual, and now VFIS.
Don Sweigert has been appointed lead agent for VFIS at Walters and Hanna Agency. Currently serving as Chief of the City of Rittman Fire and Rescue and Captain of Sterling Fire District, Sweigert has over 24 years of service as a volunteer EMT and firefighter. Sweigert combines understanding of the fire service with the knowledge of the insurance industry to provide a unique benefit to the safety services of Ohio.
