2 Children Killed, 2 Others Injured in Webster (TX) Apartment Fire

Two children were killed and two other people were injured in an early-morning fire at an apartment complex in Webster, Texas. All of the victims were found in the same apartment unit. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which begin at about 4:30 a.m. and destroyed five units, in about two hours. The children were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others victims, one child and one adult, were transported to an area hospital. Although details about their conditions were not released, officials suggested the adult was expected to survive.

This tragic fire comes hard on the heels of at least two other multifatality fires across the nation this week. In an Alaska incident, four people died in a trailer fire, while a Florida fire killed five children.
