Wisconsin Firefighter Dies After Responding to EMS Call

A 59-year-old Wisconsin volunteer firefighter died after responding to a medical call.

On May 32, Pine Lake (WI) Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter Dale J. Wege responded to an emergency medical call at 1812hrs. The following day at 1556hrs, Wege was found collapsed at home without a pulse and not breathing. Firefighter Wege was treated by fellow responders and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander where he was pronounced deceased at 1645hrs. The nature and cause and fatal injury are still to be determined.

Wege had 29 years of service.
