Woman and Toddler Jump from Haverhill MA Apartment Fire

A woman and toddler jumped from a burning apartment building in Haverhill, reports wcvb.com.

The three-alarm fire started Wednesday in one of the multistory buildings in the Bradford section of Haverhill.

Officials say 16 housing units were affected in building 21 and 23. 

A woman jumped from a second floor balcony with her toddler in her arms. The woman was transported to the hospital with possible broken legs. The toddler was not injured. 

A brush fire in the nearby woods was sparked by the apartment fire. Firefighters were working to douse that fire hours later.
