Firefighters responded Wednesday to a Clarkesville (GA) gas station where a woman injured in an apparent explosion and fire.
Bystanders extinguished the fire, which occurred while the woman was refueling a truck, and the store clerk shut down the fuel pumps, according to a report on accessnorthga.com (http://bit.ly/GSTohr). The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta, and her condition was not known as of Thursday morning.
Clarkesville Fire Chief Jerry Palmer said a male, who also was at the truck when the incident happened, suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
