North Pulaski County (AR) – A woman has died after fire swept through her home. It happened around 12:30 a.m. Friday at 5235 Roundtop Dr. near the McAlmont area.
The victim is identified as Glenda Stilwell, 62, according to the incident report from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). The report states that the woman had been bedridden for medical reasons.
The victim’s husband told deputies that after the fire in his bedroom woke him up, he went to the living room to get his phone to call 911. Before he could get back to help his wife, the man said smoke choked him and he could not reach her.
