Women Fire Fighters Meet

The Internat ional Association of Professional Women in the Fire Service became a reality last September 24 when its members approved a constitution and bylaws. The organizational meeting had been held the previous June.

At the present time, one chapter has been organized—the Texas chapter—and membership in that chapter is open to everyone. As more women are employed, additional state chapters will be formed and the Texas members will become a state chapter. Dues are $5 a year.

Membership applications and/or additional information can be obtained from Charlotte Badgett, president, Route 8, Box 275D, Austin, Tex. 78703, or Lucy Hough, secretary, 2611 Davis Lane, Austin, Tex. 78745.
