WY Wildland Engine Boss Dies After Being Found Unresponsive at CA Station

The U.S. Fire Administration reported on the death of a contract wildland firefighter who passed away last month.

On October 11, 2021, while deployed to a fire in the Inyo National Forest in California, Engine Boss Layla Bradley was found unresponsive at the fire station.

CPR was immediately performed but she was unable to be revived. Investigation into the cause of Engine Boss Bradley’s death is ongoing.

Engine Boss Bradley was working with Dragon Fighters, Inc., based in Clark, Wyoming.
