Health Bill to Help Sick 9/11 Workers Advances in Congress

The health subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted in favor of making permanent a bill that would provide long-term health coverage for emergency responders sickened while working at Ground Zero after the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center. Named after a New York  Citydetective who became sick and died after working at Ground Zero, the James Zadroga 9/11 act had been stalled in Congress for some time.
